Young Person's Fellowship

This fellowship allows us to give financial support to individuals aged 16-25 to take part in non-vocational experiences that will expand their educational horizons.

What we fund

These Fellowships are designed to support participation in non-vocational educational projects; these might include, for example, aesthetic, spiritual, artistic or musical ventures.  Projects should provide applicants with experiences that significantly widen and enhance their personal development.

We welcome applications for projects where funding is also available from other sources (match-funding).

Please note: Projects should in no way be related to a course of study that leads to a qualification. Applications for projects directed towards vocational training and/or vocational awards are not eligible for consideration.

If you are unsure whether your project would qualify please contact the Clerk to the Trustees for clarification.

Who can apply

This annual competition is open to young persons (aged 16 – 25) who are seeking support for individual non-vocational educational projects. We will give preference to young persons who are living, working or studying in the County of Warwickshire at the time of their application but the Trustees may consider applications from outside the county at their discretion.

How decisions are made

Applications will be evaluated by a sub-committee of Westham House Trustees and awards will then be made.  The Trustees’ decision is final.

We anticipate making three or four awards each year to the value of approximately £500 each, however, the precise value of awards made will be at the discretion of the Trustees and dependent on funds available.

We will let you know the result of your application as soon as possible after the application deadline.
